Knee Hole Desk/ Vanity - For Sale

This is my current project.

 It is a knee hole desk from Furnishing's of Character by Lammert's in St.Louis.

There is a metal tag inside the drawer with the company's name and address.

I have already given this desk its first coat of primer and paint.

The paint color is an "oops" paint but I would say it's a sea green with a kiss of blue.

In other words, the color is gorgeous.

This desk will be getting new hardware (I'm thinking glass knobs)

and I will line the drawers.

I am thinking of lining the drawers with pages from old books and then lightly sanding the paper so some words are missing....still thinking about that!

I completely stripped this dresser before I primed it and the original color is beautiful.

(Sadly, this picture is before the stripping took place).

I am going to leave the top natural wood and put a coat of poly on top.

Repurposed Blue Dresser - SOLD !

I came across a dresser and instantly fell in love!

I had too many pieces already to work on so I decided not to take this dresser home with me.

My husband tried talking me into getting the piece but I said no....what was I thinking?

The next day I went back to see if the dresser was there.

Ya know, to see if it was meant to be.

IT WAS MEANT TO BE!

The dresser was still sitting there patiently waiting on me to take her home and make her pretty.

After some sanding, priming, painting, glazing (which was later painted over), a light coat of poly, adding some chocolate brown microfiber fabric to the drawers and painting the hardware she looked like this.

Don't you just LOVE her??

THERE ARE 9 DRAWERS AND THE MEASUREMENTS ARE APPROXIMATELY:

 L : 60 W: 19 H: 32

THIS WOULD MAKE A GREAT DRESSER, ENTERTAINMENT CENTER, CHANGING TABLE OR A SIDEBOARD IN THE KITCHEN FOR STORING EXTRA SILVERWARE AND DISHES.

COLOR IS NOT EXACT SINCE IT WAS AN "OOPS" PAINT.

I WOULD SAY  IT'S A MIX OF LIGHT BLUE WITH A HINT OF ROBIN'S EGG BLUE.
